US History Essay Samples - African American Political Participation

US History Essay Samples - African American Political ParticipationStudents writing their US History essay are provided with the US historical examination questions relating to African American political participation. They may consider these samples as supplementary reading to supplement the syllabus. These essay questions will probably help to enhance the student's understanding of the US nation. Furthermore, there is no denying that it will encourage the student to try to construct a well thought out argument to respond to the questions asked in the examination. The example of the Negro soldier in the Revolutionary War is such a positive one, that it should never be forgotten. He deserves our respect and we should all try to imitate him. It is interesting to consider that the Union soldiers of the time might have been much more interested in winning the war than they were in caring for their families back home. This is the reason why the Civil War did not allow the Union soldiers t o use their women as well as slaves. It would have been difficult for the Union soldiers to find lodging that would be suitable for their families. In other words, their families were the ones that caused the army to suffer a defeat. The soldiers may not have looked on the treatment of slave women and children as a violation of the Constitution. However, there are two reasons why it was important for the Union to be able to use the black soldiers. The first being the fact that the slave population could be controlled in the event of a war with the South. The second reason is that the Union troops were there to put down the slave rebellion. To that end, they had to hold the slaves responsible for the overthrow of the government. As such, it was obvious that the Union soldiers would have to take into account the soldiers at home who actually did the job in the field. After all, it is their children that will care for them. The fact that the Union soldiers had to take responsibility for black prisoners of war is also worthy of consideration. The Union soldiers were also influenced by the emotions that are triggered by actions. They witnessed the slaves and the colored citizens being violently removed from their homes. They also witnessed the brutal treatment that was meted out on black soldiers. For that reason, they can be credited with their presence in the First and Second Battles of Bull Run.There are other examples that the US history course will teach us about. However, there are many of them. It is not enough to just mention these two facts and move on. The student needs to consider the implications that these events have on current history and contemporary politics. It is difficult to deny that the First and Second World Wars was very much influenced by the influences from the Civil War. In fact, the Union soldiers might have been the ones to fight the most. As such, they had to act in accordance with what they considered to be the will of the government. The refore, this example shows us that one can try to mimic the Union soldiers if they think that the goal is to spread freedom and equality.
